Day 10 Isolation

They said 2020 was going to be big, but I wasn’t expecting this. Nothing like this has happened in my time, actually not even in my parents time too.

I feel a bit unhinged, warped ,crazy. I am finding 2 equal parts of myself enjoying the surreal peace of it all and on the other hand, trying to tame my wild anxious mind.       These strange times have me baffled with the love and support of the community yet confused with not knowing what will come next.

A pandemic they say, A virus spread around the globe. But what I see is much much more. I see light within the dark.

Here where I live, It feels as if we are just waiting in the eye of the storm, the quiet before the chaos, I can feel it in my bones. Awaken to all the new possibilities and yet we stand here on the edge, right on the edge, waiting for the last leap.

How do we keep ourselves anchored knowing that this is just the beginning and these strange days have already started to tighten their grip.

No guidance except, “Isolate and wash your hands”, no reminders of loving kindness, no rest assures or messages of hope, the guys at the top are sick! sick with the virus, sick in mind.

This is our time, the rainbow tribes time to shout out to show up and to say “We are here”,   “We are all in this together and we are strong”. And its here, everywhere I look, on the Web, the fences, the windows, walls and footpaths. Online house parties, poems, rainbows and art! These are the imprints of the people of the new world, rising up in hope.

Our community is a vision on fire with bright light, serving and loving. Reaching out  far and wide. The concrete dwellers of the world create fear whilst the tree people plant seeds.

Everything is shutting down now and I hear mother earth sigh out loud, we wait, we rest and we breathe along with her.

As scared as I am, I am ready for what this place will look like on the other side.

Stay connected, stay calm, stay clean, stay wise.

“We are the ones we have been waiting for”
